I recently spent a week in Germany and was unable to connect to 3G or 4G. Why is this?

Can't speak for 4G but all 3G has been shut down in Germany

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

What network where you connected to in Germany was it it o2? or was it Vodafone or T-Mobile?


Was mobile data turned on for roaming? 
Can you check your APN is set to mobile.o2.co.uk

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account

In your mobile data settings you will see a setting for APN, it stands for Access Point Names, and tells the phone how to route mobile data.

Sorry to have taken so long, signing into my account has been a nightmare. I eventually found APN and it shows idata.02co.uk for mobile, mms, visual and personal hotspot and nothing for the optional LTE set up.
