I recently spent a week in Germany and was unable to connect to 3G or 4G. Why is this?

Thanks for all this. I won't be able to mark this as a solution until I've been to Germany in a fortnight and seen it working!

Sorry to have taken so long, signing into my account has been a nightmare. I eventually found APN and it shows idata.02co.uk for mobile, mms, visual and personal hotspot and nothing for the optional LTE set up.
