@Tomcarcher

Claim on any insurance you have, buy a new phone or upgrade if you are able to.

If you have insurance, yes - otherwise, no - and if on a contract, you may still have to pay off the balance on your device plan.

Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it may help ensure you get a replacement SIM, but you will need to provide your own handset @Tomcarcher. Hope you are ok!

If you have a physical sim just remove it and place in a replacement phone.

No point confusing things by reporting it lost.

If an esim, just ask O2 to push a new one to your MyO2 or pop in store with photo ID.

Reporting a loss will result in bars being placed on your account which can be difficult or lengthy to remove.
