Nokia Lumia 620 Internet connection

I can't get my new L620 to connect to the internet. I have requested settings by text several times. The phone connects to my BT router/hub either using the WAP connection or the openzone but doesn't get beyond this.

I now have a microsoft account and entered it into my phone. It said there was an activation error FFFFFE70.

Others seem to be suggesting that you need to do a complete reset of the phone (which is the last resort to fix your connection issues anyway)

Well that seems to have fixed things. It now connects automatically to O2.co.uk, which it wasn't doing before. That was before I activated the Wifi. I reconnected the wifi. How can I check that the wifi is being used for data transfer? I read somewhere that the phone may use 3G even when connected, which I want to prevent.

Wifi will always over-ride 3G when connected.
Also, in settings >wifi >advanced make sure that wifi is always on when screen times out.
Good result btw slight_smile
