Nokia Lumia 620 Internet connection

I can't get my new L620 to connect to the internet. I have requested settings by text several times. The phone connects to my BT router/hub either using the WAP connection or the openzone but doesn't get beyond this.

Yes. This PC for example. Also my old Samsung phone still connects to wifi although the sim card is disabled now as I had to upgrade to use the new 620.

Well so far, that's pointing to a phone problem but it's worth doing a soft reset first.
Press and hold power + volume down for 15 secs until phone vibrates and restarts.....
Nothing will be deleted from your phone.

Yes, you need a MS account for the app store. Try opening your browser and connect to bbc again...

Go to Settings >apn and tick "automatic APN" (reboot phone) and check back to see if it shows O2UK in the active apn box.

I don't have that option. I went to settings-mobile network and it shows Data Connection on and network selection automatic. It is showing O2-UK as the active network and 3G as the highest connection speed. The phone is working fine. I just took a call. Just a problem with data.

I don't understand why but your phone is blocking all data for some reason.... What software version are you on?
Did you get the GDR2 & Amber updates?
