I have just switched over with the virgin media boost. I was expecting the 15gb data to now show 30gb as per the volt boost. However it only shows the 15gb. Why is it not adding the data boost?

The Volt benefits won't be applied until the account has been open for a couple of weeks (14 days) in case you change your mind @Jabanks75.
