I currently have an o2 sim only deal, and also have a recently agreed new contract with Virgin Media, which has best part of 2 years to run.

In light of the recent above inflation o2 price rise announcement, I'm now contemplating leaving o2, but have the following questions regarding my contract with VM should I choose to leave o2.

1. Would I keep my current contract and package with VM at the agreed new price I have just negotiated with them?

2. Would my broadband speed stay the same as it is now, for the length of my newly agreed contract?

Virgin could ask to renegotiate your contract but in reality I doubt they would

You would lose the Volt benefit of data speed with Virgin

Bigger benefits - Volt

In addition to the guide shared above, which has a comprehensive FAQ section, para 11 in t&cs should help, @baldy59:

Thank you jonsie and png for your replies.

Having just contacted Virgin Media, they have advised me my contract with them would remain as is for the remaining term of my recently negotiated new deal with themselves.

The only Volt benefit I would lose is eligibility to have the free Wi-Fi pods, which I've not had the need for.
