Resolved! Do I need to change my SIM?

Hello, I’ve just switched from a contract to a SIM only and I’ve been sent a new SIM card. Do I need to change my SIM even though I am already an 02 customer? If I need to change, how do I keep my same phone number and ensure I don’t loose any data?

My husband has a phone on a separate o2 contract. Can I buy an Apple Watch pay monthly on my contract for him to pair with his phone? If so, how do I ensure it pairs with his phone and does not receive my calls and texts etc?
