Swap Esims between two phones back and forth

Hi, is it possible to swap an Esim between two phones.

After being pickpocketed on holiday, I choose to take out a cheaper handset at night.

Hence the need to swap an Esim between handsets when I need to?

Not really, the way O2 and eSIMs are implemented ...

You do need to report the loss so the stolen phone can be deactivated and you are not left facing a large bill for abuse of your phone and eSIM:

The quickest way to swap esims between phones is to go in store with photo ID.

You can contact O2 to have one pushed to your MyO2 but that disconnects your current sim immediately which can make logging into your MYO2 to get it difficult, unless you go into your MYO2 beforehand and add an alternative contact number for the access codes to be sent to.

If I read you right and you want to swap between a good phone for day use and a cheaper phone for the evening then eSIMs are not the way to go. You will have to stick to good old plastic

Hi, than is for the reply, the holiday in question is visiting Spain, I had my phone stolen and claimed off the insurance this year. Wasn’t aware till it was too late.

I have been swapping my plastic SIM since between phones since then.

Problem being I now have upgraded to the Honor V3 which comes with a factory fitted case stuck on with light adhesive, this case i have now discovered covers the SIM slot and reading from other people’s experience of removing the case it can bring the factory fitted screen protector away at the same time.

Hence the question about ESIMS as It isn’t a good idea to try and remove the plastic SIM from my Honor phone.

@Mark_Bags Then you've bought a very poorly made phone. Why would they sell a phone with a factory fitted case that covers the sim slot and damage the screen protector if removed?

Might be worth searching on Amazon, eBay etc for a non sticky cover @Mark_Bags
