Apple Watch connecting

Hi,

I am about to buy an Apple Watch 9 but my account is set up with a number that isn’t mine, do I have to order it on my number or can I just connect to it when it comes? If that makes sense

If you order from o2 it will be linked to your account, that is the only way if you want to take advantage of the refresh plan for the watch.. 
If you want to link to another watch buy it direct from Apple or any other retailer, or pay in full on o2..
