Apple Watch Code 106

Hi,

Trying to add mobile data to my Apple watch from the iphone watch app and I get the error below - code 106.

Sales have a set up SIM on my account but I can’t link it to my watch. I see others have had this issue. Is there a known fix?

“Oops, something went wrong. Try again and if the problem continues call 202 for free from your O2 mobile, quoting reference code 106”

Already has taken 3 hours on the phone to O2 to get to this stage, at one point I was passed on to Apple! Seems a hard process so hope it is worth it.

Thanks

Thanks for the tag @Cleoriff

This is a known issue that we are aware of and we are trying to get resolved as a priority.

@Robins @Hn1979 @Jen784 @Buz52 I believe you all have cases open with our engineer teams. If that's the case any further updates would need to from them going forward as we have exhausted what we can do here on community and with our customer service teams. We are trying to come to a resolution as quick as possible but someone will contact you as soon as we know more.

Thanks @O2Sarah- , agree we are not going to resolve it here but it highlights that this seems to be affecting at least 20 people who I tagged in an earlier post and has been going on for at least 5 months.
Does the priority align to the number of incidents and is there a timescale to close the issue? I am assuming given the similarity that once the fix is known for one it may be applicable to all. Would be good to know how long we might need to wait even if it’s just to confirm that no one knows and we just have to sit tight and wait.
