Phones 4U have ceased offering O2 contracts, upgrades or PAYG phones. Phones 4U state this is due to a "recent startegic re-evaluation of its network relations"

Maybe they, like many of us, don't like the way O2 is currently doing business

Hopefully cpw will pull the plug on O2

That seems very unreasonable from you, if O2 suffer due to this price increase or worse go broke, you will find phone and contract prices will go through the roof due to the lack of competition.

OK guys let's be realistic. O2 won't be going bust. They are a major world wide telco.

For those of us on discounted tariffs then we are likely to stay. At least till the discount runs out. For me with a large discount when my tariff discount ends I will either go sim only with TescoMobile or Vodafone. That is unless three stick in a new base station so I get home coverage in which case I would consider them.

For now though we all agree the price increase was bad. Wrong. Badly timed. Awful. But let's put it into perspective eh?

It's not you taking a chance though is it, it's the 12,000 people employed by O2 and all the supporting companies, it would be criminal if that happened?

All we can really ask for is that O2 complies with the spirit of the new Ofcom rules.

Maybe you would prefer executions? Smiley Surprised

Let's keep this within the bounds of realism.

That's where I place the problem. it's almost as if Ofcom designed it this way.

Incredible incompetence!

To be Honest Perksie while I would feel sorry for the 12,000 people employed they are not likely to go bust and if they did it would be their own fault they are the ones being sneaky about this whole thing things like that come with a price I'm afraid but I do agree this is mainly ofcoms fault

The staff aren't being sneaky Damien1. It's the big chiefs who don't have to deal with the fall out.

Interesting that it's an hours wait to get through to disconnections though. What does that tell us

I'm not saying the staff are being sneaky at all but if the big chiefs make the decisions and the staff just go along with it then that's there lookout as fair as I'm concerned
