Phones 4U have ceased offering O2 contracts, upgrades or PAYG phones. Phones 4U state this is due to a "recent startegic re-evaluation of its network relations"

Maybe they, like many of us, don't like the way O2 is currently doing business

In principle MI5 I agree.

I have put a number of posts up over the last few days saying everyone should be putting it into perspective etc and that it is less than a pound a month etc.

I get email alerts and at the moment I am getting about 80 a day most of which are price increase / kicking o2 related. Yes I could turn them off but it is time to accept and move on.

What do you expect the staff to have done?

Nick, I get it from the customers who want to come on and let off steam - Fully understandable.
But the rewards we get on here more than outweigh any financial loss - Some people have extremely short memories.
If I was O2 there would be no rewards this month for those that have bashed O2 in such a vociferous manner.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I don't know what you would expect the staff to do? Do you think they should rebel and down tools because they object to O2's policy? How long do you think they'd have a job for if they did that? If upper management set the policies, the staff are obliged to see those policies through and uphold them.

I must say Damien, your posts have been extremely negative of late. All I've been seeing is a lot of O2 bashing at every turn. No one is saying that these price increases are a good thing. If you're that unhappy with O2, then maybe you should exercise your right as a customer and leave.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

The pacifist in me says the point has been made.

O2 got it wrong. OFCOM got it wrong.

Customers have a choice at the end of their contract.

The message is loud and clear so time now to put it to bed. O2 won't back down. If they lose too many customers they will bring out new tariffs either cheaper or with more in them.

If people still want to complain then go at OFCOM and get fixed = fixed on the agenda.

Oh and for the record T Mobile have today confirmed they are leaving the option in their contracts for mid term price increases. Orange likely therefore to follow
suit.

Time to let it go for all our sakes and no falling out please.

So that you can then (almost rightfully) complain about the lack of customer service because they're all striking over essentially nothing? Curious.

They will all do the same, eventually. Three will sieze the chance to get more customers by saying they won't do it (but will increase the prices of new contracts anyway, just not mid term), then everyone will complain about the service and leave because their rather fragile network will be overloaded, which just leaves Voda & EE who will still have mid term price increases, just as they always have, the same as O2.

Yep. Back to my comment. GO AT OFCOM if anyone. They "regulate" the sector and should take responsibility.

But also remember £1.5m a day has to come from some where. ...... (network spending?)
