I have been told by O2 'Help' (real person) that Wi-Fi calling is not available to Pay as You Go customers. I have not found anything on the O2 web site to confirm this. Is it really true? I'm on 'Classic' PAYG as my usage is well below £5 a month.
Our local O2 service has been down for a week, although EE, (which uses the same mast) has been up and running. Hence my interest in Wi-Fi calling.

It's currently being phased in for PAYG.
Make sure it is available and turned on in your phone settings. If not available right now, it will be soon.

In addition to the point above, make sure you have a fairly recent SIM card, @ramasaig - you can swap the card and transfer your number to a newer SIM card in an O2 Shop, with suitable photo ID. Balance will be taken care of at the same time, in case you have a credit balance on your PAYG account at the moment. Good luck!

A recent community thread here also @ramasaig
Regarding your current mast issue. You can track the status of any repairs in the My Network app https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

It says in the FAQs here that PAYG customers are getting 4G calling and WiFi calling by the end of the year, so, you could still be waiting a while yet,

P.S. I don't have it yet either.
