Hi, hope you can help?

I am currently in my contract which runs out in September. Is it literally just a case of paying off my device and then going on sim only?

My current airtime is 8GB at £21 per month where as sim only is 20g for £15 per month so seems a no brainer to me!

However, Uswitch are offering 9GB for £10 a month but I presume would not be able to do that until September?

Thanks for any help

Once you pay off your device plan you can upgrade anywhere without penalty.

@Rob1845 At the moment, O2 are offering 100GB for £20/month on a 12 month sim only tariff. That offer ends 13 May.

Hi, thanks for your replies. This seems straightforward!

So in the case of uswitch, as I don’t need 20gb especially now working from home due to covid, I do not need a new sim?

With my airtime contract also not running out until September I assume I won’t have to pay a penalty? Again I’m assuming not due to o2 refresh?

Apologies if basic questions but want to be sure before I do anything!

Thanks again

@Rob1845 If you pay off your device you can cancel your current air time at any time with no penalty.

One more question - I’m assuming going from 8GB to 9GB is classed as an upgrade?!?

I’m going from uswitch but I get as far as checking out which is in blue but when I press it goes grey but doesn’t go further🤔

I have been tried a couple times this afternoon but keep hitting the same brick wall.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If you go through U Switch it will be a new contract so you'll need to call O2 to migrate your number and cancel the old O2 contract.
