Getting stressed out, pls help!
I bought a new contract instead of upgraded (yep I know!)
It with the same network, but I have to register another network sim (O2) to put the PAC code onto it.
I went to register sim but it has to send the phone the code, but it won't let me as the sim not registered. So baffled as to what to do. Old and hate technology to would welcome any help pls.

You don't PAC between O2 and O2.
Just call customer service to migrate your number to the new contract.
It will instantly end your old one for you too.
