I have an iPhone 6s and it was purchased from CPW on an o2 contract. I had two purchased at the same time and wanted to move to EE. I followed the instructions and one phone was unlocked and the other came back with the following message:-
I'm sorry, we have not been able to unlatch your device at this time.
The reason given is:
This is not an O2 device, it will not be possible for us to provide an
unlatching code.
Any ideas?

O2 can unlock any iPhone locked to o2 regardless of where it came from.

I would call customer service and speak to a uk advisor for help and clarification http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Definitely call them, it's easily sorted out over the phone.
