I pre ordered mine 11 minutes after it opened, got the usual flood of emails and one confirming all is good to go once in stock. Got a text on release day... "O2: Sorry it's taking longer than we hoped to send your order. We're still expecting more stock soon. We'll text you again as soon as we have a delivery date." tried speaking to customer services as have it in an email and a screen shot of order conf stating it'll arrive on release day but now all I'm getting is we'll update you soon. Really quite disappointing, lack of specifics is shocking. New customer, just moved from Three, put £200 down and have absolutely no idea when this £1400 phone will be arriving. Just "soon". If it wasn't for the hard credit check (Nobody likes too many of these on their file), I'd cancel and go elsewhere. Appreciate stock is an issue, not particularly bothered about that. It's more the lack of any real update or information regarding my purchase. Can't login to My o2 as apparently it won't be set up till I receive the phone. For anyone looking at these kind of threads in future i'd personally recommend you go elsewhere.

Yep, the absolute lack of updates or even ballpark estimates for delivery is pathetic. Spoke to multiple people on live chat and their response is pretty much "just wait" and the next contact I will get from them is an email the day the phone is dispatched, could be 2 days could be 2 months.

Literally same here. Sold my phone to upgrade early to the iPhone 14 pro max, preordered it and it still hasn’t gotten to the processed stage on the track my order section of the 02 app. Being given no date, no time frame at all it is severely annoying me now as I literally have no phone whilst waiting for this phone. Not sure whether to get a cheap phone for now as it could be this week or in 2 months? It’s ridiculous

Think I'll just end up cancelling. Tried to get an update today and they're now saying 4+ weeks from today. Pathetic when it was ordered within a couple of hours of release and supposedly to be delivered on release day. They genuinely don't seem bothered at all.

They’re really not able to do very much about it regardless of how many times you or anyone else calls as they have to wait for Apple to release stock to them.

All retailers are in the same position, even Apple themselves are estimating delivery late October / early November.

By cancelling your order all you’re doing is putting yourself at the bottom of the list should you reorder later.
