Hi Guys,

 

Since 8am today, our 2G voice and data service has been restored.

 

Our engineers are continuing to work on the 3G service and we anticipate a full restoration of services soon.

Do you not think it would have been appropriate for O2 to contact everyone by email to let them no what the hell is happening. I only found out that I wasn't receiving incoming calls after one of my clients emailed me. I rely on my for phone for my business, it seems O2 don't understand how much damage this is causing to business's or they would have been in touch and explained exactly what is going on.
This really is unacceptable & must have cost me bomb today. We need proper Live Updates, I need to know if I have to spend the day sat next to my landline tomorrow if I can't go out to work and rely on my mobile.

    ....may not be actually down to the same O2's on-going Base Servers problem affecting selective numbers but instead a separate Local Mast issue which is still NOT fixed since 15:00hrs- so what can take so long there !!!!  Or is that where one of the Base Servers is located?
     
    Also good point/ suggestion about courtesy warning by email.  At least an opt-in for service issues by email.  O2 should have learnt from Blackberry outage incident.

is there any updates on network disruption....i have had no internet, text or incoming calls since 1.30 this afternoon and outgoing calls are hit and miss....spoke to customer service twice this afternoon with no joy and then rang them on a third occasion only to have an automated service inform me they were too busy woth other customers and then cut me off giving me no option to stay on hold! Very bad customer service as usual.... Didnt this happen last year, and last 48 hours???

No update as yet but people are reporting that texts are starting to come through now.

i have been off since 13;30 yesterday it is now 02;52 i have tryed phoning and emailing o2 but as always they never answer and there area checker says the bournemouth area is working great no proplems in bh76hy,im a search and rescue diver so i need my phone looks like i will have to buy a spare but on a nother net work and its not the first time is it o2 when they have a proplem they bury there heads

I have no incoming call.. still.. it's been more than 24hrs now!!!! ridiculous!!! it's 5AM, and still nothing, even though my postcode's area works fine according to o2.. amateurs!!!

I still am not receiving text messages, can send but not receive - very frustrating whenever O2 have a problem I am always affected while friends and family keep full service, even when in same room!!!

The issue is now resolved so a simple restart of your phone should get the signal back if it didn't come on automatically.
