Hi Guys,

Since 8am today, our 2G voice and data service has been restored.

Our engineers are continuing to work on the 3G service and we anticipate a full restoration of services soon.

Please have a look at our blog post for more info.

Thanks

Abs

I simply restarted the phone.

The result is simple as well: as in yesterday, I'm able to make the calls, no one is able to call me.

Great job. I have only one question (because by English isn't perfect):

what is appropriate term for taking the payment for the services which are intentionally not provided not as the result of fault, but as the result of planned activity (please take my apologies for such assumtion if O2 did not had the knowledge that the network will be "upgraded"):

a) fraud;

b) theft act;

c) single-side, O2 driven cancellation of the contract?

Please be informed that I already contacted so-called support team, and even when I told them that my sim card behaves exactly same in two different handsets and the other sim card works perfectly in my handset, their advice was: please remove the sim card and clean it + clean the phone... I had a dream... when the company policy would be to employ in support centres personnel with the IQ level of two digits...

You may need to get your SIM card replaced. This is free of charge....
There is no fraud, theft or breech of contract to discuss here.....

Well...

1. fault is, as you said, eliminated

2. O2 is not providing me with the services, for which the company is paid

3. What other conclusions I could have, adding that my card stopped to work correctly just as an effect of the network upgarde?

Fraud or theft implies a deliberate act - Neither of which applies in this case.
Breech of contract would be a refusal of service specifically to you for no fault of your own, again this does not apply.
If your SIM card is faulty, go to a O2 Store and get a replacement for FREE.

Service is terrible at the moment, I don't think that issues affecting service in my area have been resolved.....I am continually getting the no service message on my phone, delayed texts, unsent texts, this has been going on for days and a lot of my friends are experiencing the same problems.

I did not understood you clearly... do you mean: fraud or theft implies the deliberate act, e.g. claim that the services have been restored, while this is obviously not true?

Regarding the breach of the contract, do you mean: planned, scheduled activity which causes the restriction of the services provision, or lack of such services for some period of time?

Thaks for the explanation then, I fully agree with both provided by you.

Of course, all of the above would be void if:

a) your previous statement that the services were restored was the lie;

b) the so-called upgrade of network would be the activity completely independent from the O2;

Otherwise - the O2 is fully responsible for the faults during the procedure implementation.

Finally, if my SIM card would be faulty, e.g. it would be damaged in the way preventing its registration in network or recognition by the phone - I'd be unable to make any calls.

Since the network upgrade, as I stated previously - I'm able to make the calls, while when someone else tries to call me - such person is obtaning (from O2) the message: the number you have dialled is not recognised (means: O2 kicked me out of network).

Qoud erat demonstrandum

Just as the announcement: when I'll have the nearest bill forom O2 (IF my services will be restored until this time), my wallet would be upgrading, so it is likely that it will be able to accept any money, while the withdrawal may be impacted by the upgrade. I only hope that O2, being fair company, will wait so patiently as I'm waiting now.

I doubt support can help with this, have you tried rebooting your phone?

It may take a day or two for the network to fully return to normal.

I'm guessing the servers are trying to catch up with the huge backlog.
