I have purchased a pay as you go mobile phone for my elderly unlce to use, I setup the device intially and all went well. However after only 31 days and little to no use by my uncle the phone refuses to switch on. There is no help on the O2 website relating to the subject, after going through mutliple redirections on help & return pages just to get back to the same online chat which is closed I have resorted to the "O2 Community".
How do I get either a refund including the top up that I have yet to use or a replacement device?

Firstly, just checking the phone is charged?
You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
