If you are in Norway you can roam OK. Telenor is one of their mobile networks and the last time I was there it worked for me
Just make sure you don't accidentally roam back onto the ship's network

It's entirely dependent on the ships network but is very expensive.
It's cheaper to buy a wifi package on board.

Hi, many thanks, as I thought. I can't find if O2 has a roaming agreement with Telenor, if they have I can use roaming if not, I'll buy some WiFi time.

You can roam for free on any of the EU networks, just not the ships networks.

I ve been on a cruise around Spain and France last year and had the cap set to £0 and didn't want ship's wifi. I managed to get a signal from the land quite a bit and hoping to do the same this year when we go to France Spain and Italy with a zero spend set on the cap. that way I should not get charged for anything and take advantage of the O2 free roaming within Europe

You are very brave @Goody2bgoody 😂
I know you say it worked for you on your last cruise but it's not something I would ever risk.
Still, as @jonsie said, good luck and all that.
(Make sure you don't fall overboard when reaching out to point your phone towards any part of France 😂)
