I have a pay monthly contract that includes Europe roaming. I am currently on a cruise around Spain and have been unable to get roaming at any of the stops.
All the data settings look ok but if I go to 'about phone'--'sim 1 status'__'mobile network state' it says 'disconnected'.
Is it this that is stopping roaming working?. I cannot see any way to change the settings so, if it is this, is the problem with my phone (Moto go4) or has my O2 contract been set up incorrectly.
Any help appreciated.

@Daveoc - check both Roaming and Data Roaming are enabled.
Check your APN is set correctly, mobile.o2.co.uk and try manually selecting a local network, even if it says "Forbidden".
Do not connect to ship's mobile, it will cost heaps!
If nothing works then contact o2 Guide: How to find help & contact O2 and see if there is a roaming bar or similar on your phone or account.

Thanks. Found APN setting and it was turned off---no idea how or why. Turned It on and roaming working. Wouldn't have sorted without your help.

Watch out for the cruise ship's own service though - Guide: Cruise Liners / Aircraft Charges
