I’m having this same issue since March with my Apple Watch Ultra 2.
“We're setting up your Apple Watch on the 02 network and we'll text you when it's all done. If you don't receive a text within 24 hours, call 202 for free from your 02 mobile, quoting reference code 08.”
Tried contacting O2 and Apple multiple times and no joy, any help would be appreciated. TIA!

There are many, many people who have got Apple watches from somewhere else and they work fine on o2 @Vbadservice
Unfortunately customer service are the opposite of their name - they are now more interested in what they can sell you, which in this case is their stock of Apple watches.
The only thing you MUST do with o2 if you want the watch to work correctly is have a pay monthly account - either with or without a device.
Follow the advice in the Activate Apple Watch Guide if you want it working correctly.
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

@Vbadservice You have two posts going on this.
If you believe customer service then you are now entering a fight to end your watch subscription which O2 will happily charge to the end of you contact.
Good luck

In the past we had O2 people here we could refer things to. They have all gone.
We have a Community manager but he is on extended leave until 6th January
So we are at a lost where we can refer you

You will have to go down the complaint route https://o2.co.uk/how-to-complain
But o2 will not allow you to cancel your Airtime because you cant connect a watch, your only option will be to pay it off and port out and move on..
