I have recently changed to 02 after years with 3 Network and to be honest i have found the network coverage quite intermittent compared to my previous network. Is this common for Northern Ireland as it is an issue that i dont want to have.

Hi @GBates73

Not particularly common for NI. Depends where you are based.

Check thesee guides Guide: How can I sort out my network issues? and Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

Give O2 a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

You can check here O2 Service Status

Also, these guides may help.

Guide: Do you have poor coverage / signal Indoors? This may help Explain / resolve it

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Three seem to have the best coverage in NI, and have been for years..   EE, o2 and Voda are all as bad each other, especially in some parts of Belfast and down towards the border..

My advice always before moving is get some PAYG sims and test the networks, as if you dont you are stuck for 12months or more

iPhone 16 Pro Max - o2 and Spusu

Good coverage with O2 where we are, not far from Lough Foyle, in fact both Voda and Orange of old have/had zero cover, O2 offer best - horses for courses. 2 miles up the road, Voda or O2 Roaming on an Irish network.

Best advice, as per @madasaf1sh - get a PAYG SIM from each network and test before committing. So it goes.
