Help, I requested a Guru callback on Tuesday, was told they would call back within 24hrs, it is Friday now and no call.  What do you have to do at O2 to get network help?

What's the point of a company that provides no service to resolve issues! 😞
I guess going into an O2 shop will be just as pointless

It's called contact deflection, the Virgin Media way.

Fix it yourself or tough poop

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

The Guru Service was deprecated as O2 claimed all Store Personnel would be trained to provide the same level of service that the Gurus provided. Since then, O2 and Virgin Media merged into a single entity, bringing some of the bad habits that the VM-side of the operation had, and losing many O2 shops in the process. That said... should you decide to go in-store, do take some valid photo id with you, you will be asked to prove you are who you claim before any of the personnel will look at the issue you are having, @MyNameIsThis

Good luck!

Hot damn, they shouldn't write cheques they have no intention of cashing.

@pgn I had that problem the time before last I went in the shop in Town, they wouldn't serve me because they thought I could be Atilla the flippin' Hun! I carried ID as well, my British Passport, and they wouldn't accept it.

@MrRichAllen1976 - ID is generally considered to be valid if it is a current UK or Irish passport, or a current UK photo driving licence, eg. https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/sims-and-numbers/activating-your-sim

Also a bill with your name and address on it.

You could ring your local store  and ask what they want to see.

@pgn Given it's unlikely I'll ever drive due to disability, not even a Motability car, I don't have a driving license and probably never will.
