Since getting a new phone 2 weeks ago with an esim I've never been able to sign back in to my whatsapp or instagram accounts. Both will ask for my number and give the option to sms or call but I never get any sms or call. Of course whatsapp say it's a problem with o2 and no doubt o2 will say it's a problem with whatsapp. I've even tried to change back to physical sim but still getting the same problem, I can get verification codes through from o2 it just seems to be with whatsapp and instagram. Any ideas what I can try next v would be appreciated.

@paulh99uk As you are receiving all other texts it would seem obvious that the issue is with Meta.

Get back on to them and don't be fobbed off.

I have been trying for 4 days now, it's just generic email responses that don't address the issue, then after about 8 replies it goes back to the beginning again and just loops continuously with the same set replies.

I eventually got it working, had been messing about with settings not sure if I changed something or it was just luck. Still never received any of the sms they sent but did manage to pick up a call from them using that option. This was through WiFi calling rather than my network maybe this made a difference. I had sent them so many emails but the replies weren't much help but it might even have something done from their end. Sorry I can't help more but still don't really know what the issue was.
