Not receiving texts

I can make/receive calls and send messages but can't receive text messages.

We’re aware of an issue which might be affecting some customers making and receiving voice calls. Our technical teams are investigating. Data and text messages are not impacted. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Thanks. I just wondered because it says texts aren't impacted that it may be a different issue.

Have you done a sim swap or number port recently @Seano1992?
If yes, texts are normally the last thing to come through...

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I did yeah about 3 hours ago. That must be it thank you, didn't realise texts would come after the calling, though it would be the same time.

Keep turning the phone off and on again then @Seano1992 and they will catch up eventually...

I also ported across from Vodafone to O2 yesterday (5/5/2020) which can make and receive calls, but cannot receive text messages. Have tried both new iPhone and old Samsung, neither receive text messages. However I can send SMS which get's received by others.

There is a known issue with texts. O2 are working on it.

Im having the same problem. I moved to o2 from the 3 network and had my number transferred over. My imessage isn't catching my old number anymore and im not receiving any sms messages either. I can’t cope.
