My mum has been paying for my o2 sim for years. I decided to take out my own contract via Uswitch (which is also o2). I put through the pac on Wed eve (after receiving the sim card - didn't do it when I bought it) and was told it would port on 12/12 to my new sim. I am still stuck on the temporary number. I put my old sim in today and that seems to be active still? Prior to swapping the sim back to my primary number, I have been back and forth with o2 customer services, saying its a porting issue... then a migration issue, and now how it should have been transfer of ownership.
So my question is, If i were to cancel the new contract I took out which has the temp number in (and continue with having it under my mums name), will this ruin anything especially with the whole Port/migration issue? Is the number I want to retain safe and active still on my mums contract as I am worried it might eventually disconnect?? I don't know what to do. I feel like everything is going around in Circles and getting my own contract with the number i've used for years is impossible. Please advise what to do in this situation.

For a start off you've confused everything by using a PAC and requesting a port as you should just be doing a migration.
Guide: Migration & porting into O2
Cancelling anything now will just confuse things further.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook or Instagram https://www.o2.co.uk/abouto2/social-media and ensure you request a migration, however, you may have to wait until your PAC expires which is 30 days from when requested.

I've contacted o2 they're saying PAC shouldn't have been used and how it should've been ToO (migration I guess?) but they're doing nothing about it . My old sim is still active (i have switched back to this as all my 2FA is associated with this number). Im worried my main number will be lost if I now do something else since o2 don't seem competent with it. Also, Why will cancelling my new contract make this more confusing - will it cause a disconnection of my main number? Highkey worried and stressed

Like I said, an active PAC may be holding things up. If so, you have no choice but to wait for it to expire.
Use the SM teams as these are UK based, unlike the offshore phone teams, so have more knowledge.
Cancelling the new contract could lose your number if the migration is ongoing, as your number will have no where to go and could just vanish.

I have only submitted PAC, My mum hasn't done anything regarding transfer of ownership, so does that mean theres no ongoing migration and the new contract can be cancelled? And which social media channel would you suggest to use? Thanks in advance
