Your system for contact support sends you round on circles.  You have no neaningful way to solve problems.

I will change provider as soon as I can.  Madening.

This is a complete con to charge for a roaming service abroad that does not work.

You don't say if you are a Pay Monthly or a PAYG customer, @Ph2zzzzz - as Pay Monthly can avail of cheaper roaming in Costa Rica with either O2 Travel Inclusive (which you get on selected Plus plan tariffs, OR if you are a customer of both O2 Mobile AND VirginMedia Broadband), or with O2 Travel (which means you pay £6 per day for every 24h that you use your phone there abroad for making calls, sending SMS or mobile data), @Ph2zzzzz.

If PAYG, then you pay standard rates, both shown below:

More info on roaming here Guide: Roaming MegaGuide

If you wish to leave O2 early, if you are on Contract, info here, @Ph2zzzzz - Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

You may wish to consider a local PAYG SIM and using, say, WhatsApp, for the remainder of your trip, in the interim. PAYG has no termination period, but you may not be entitled to any refund of amounts topped-up when you change to another PAYG provider. Good luck!
