Upgrading Early

Hi there,

Currently I have a Sony Xperia XA Ultra, on a pay monthly contract that is due to finish in October. I have seen on Carphone Warehouse a deal for a new Samsung Galaxy S9 on the O2 network; which is better than any of the upgrade options I can see on the My O2 app.

I was wondering if someone can tell me exactly what I need to do to pay off my current plan without upgrading in the My O2 app. Then buy the new phone and keep my current phone number.

Thank you very much,

Jack

How much you pay depends on contract type but if standard contract it is the number of months multiplied by your monthly tariff minus vat, if on refresh it’s the amount outstanding on the device plan.
If you call 202 and speak to customer service they will tell you exactly.
Once you get the new contract you’ll need to call customer service again to migrate your number.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
