Hi,
I recently was in the UK for 5weeks and purchased the O2 Pay as you go with Unlimited tariff. Now that I am back in my home country, how do i keep the O2 no. that i had valid for my next use? How do I ensure that the same O2 no. I had can be used when i go to UK again, in Dec 2014.
Thank you!

You will need to make a chargeable call and or top up every approx 6 months to keep the SIM card and mobile number live.

As long as in credit you only need to make a chargeable call every 6 months, topup is only required if you do not have enough or every 999 days or 25 years depending on the advice given before being correct, there is no T&C that states you must top up but there is one for the 6 month chargeable call.
In another recent thread we have asked for clarifcation. http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Need-for-recuring-top-ups-if-not-number-blocked/...

If your number is disconnected because it’s not been used much, we’d just need to check a chargeable call has been made or received in the last six months. If you’ve no credit, you’d need to top up to be able to make or receive a chargeable call
