@dabs70

Depending on when you tried to purchase, it may have been the payment system was down for maintenance.

You could try again this morning and see if it goes through.

If not, you may be better off going instore tomorrow when the shops reopen..

Best of luck whichever method you choose.

Happy New Year wink

Hi @dabs70

Unfortunately, O2's online systems are far from robust and, yes, this does happen from time to time.

I would suggest you speak to a Customer Services advisor this morning, they are open between 10am-4pm today, to confirm whether your order has gone through or not. If, as suspected, it wasn't completed you can place your order whilst on the phone.

Also, because O2 don't have a live stock ordering system, it's quite possible that the device you wished to purchase is not in stock. We always recommend ordering either in-store or over the phone to ensure your order is processed without any hiccups, and you will also know whether the item is in stock or not straight away.

Good luck, a very Happy New Year, and welcome to the forum Welcome

Hi I thought I’d attempt it one more time online, fortunately this time it worked, so I’m just waiting for the delivery for my new IPad and
the return of my upfront payments

I've just had the same problem. I tried the O2 site, but it just keeps sending me round in circles when I try to find a contact number!...  Never found a website so unhelpful!...  I had to make out I was going to make a complaint to get to an actual phone number. The representative told me she couldn't identify what had happened, but that I would receive an email update within 24 hours.  It's now a full day later and no update from O2.  What a surprise!  Trouble is, PayPal are holding my payment...  so I can't do anything until enough time has passed for PayPal to cancel the aborted payment.  Marvellous!...   I'll definitely avoid O2 in future!!!
