O2 account details

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am mortified to log in to my o2 account to see details of someone else's account details, sort code and account number visible set up as my direct debit has anyone ever come across this. I have raised a complaint but worried that I can see details of someone else like that who else's details are out there being used. The only reason that this has come to my attention is because I am a new customer and was having problems logging into my o2 app because it said my card details didn't match so I contacted an online chat advisor who got me logged in for me to then check my details and found this.

O2 are being very helpful to be honest and have received calls today saying it is being taken very seriously, as it looks at the moment I don't believe it to be o2s fault, it seems it's to do with where I took the contract out from with in my eyes a sackibal offence.

@Toby .....one of my few "pet hates" is the use of that type of phrase because it is over-used.

In the majority of instances, it comes across as insincere, belittling to the person or persons it is aimed at and smacks of "corporatism".

In the example reported here, it may well be that O2 did not originate the error but they are still responsible for making the data available on their website therefore should be checking its veracity which obviously did not happen.

That is why that phrase, in my opinion, comes across as insincere.

I appreciate and accept that you may not agree with me.

I'll always remember being told by a senior executive in the company I worked for, "It takes little effort to get things wrong but to get things right requires great effort".

"My life is a facsimile of a sham"
