Travelon Germany, enabled and not working

Anonymous
Not applicable

Dear Community

im a bit distressed after sending my daughter to germany for a week with her iphone 5s and an 02 pay and go sim card all topped up.

before she left i enabled travelon at 1.99 per day for data.

she has bow been there for two days and the data roaming sint working.  Also any attempts to send her phone setup details is also failing.

before she left the uk, i also purchased a big bundle for data so she at least had data in the airport in the uk.

what is wrong ?  As a parent worried if she cant keep in touch with no data connection.

Hi @Anonymous Has she got data roaming/mobile data turned on in her phone?

She should try getting in touch with people over WiFi if she is having problems. She can use messenger or other apps of the same type....

She could phone customer services herself if she still has problems +44 7860 980 202

Make sure EU DATA is turned off in network settings.
This is only required if you subscribe to an EU DATA package, which she is not.

When you say that you got your daughter a Big Bundle for data, do you mean that you changed your daughters tariff to one of the Big Bundle packages?

Because doing so would deduct the cost of the new tariff from her available credit (then she may not have enough credit left to purchase O2 Travel) and the Big Bundle allowance would only work in the UK unfortunately.

If so, you could top up her credit online, in store, or over the phone by quoting her mobile number and she should be up and running again with O2 travel.
