How do you cancel?

Anonymous

Hi folks,

How on earth do you cancel?

Just been kept waiting 37 minutes on the phone to get through to cancellations. (Option 2 I think it was)

Sorry, but I can't sit on the phone for an hour just to talk to someone.

Would cancelling the direct debit and just waiting for them to write to me be the way to go?

I've got the money sat here to give them.

Cheers

What I was exactly told was I would be able to do this without needing someone else and then that I would be able to keep the SIM in that I have now and my new contract would be put on to it, but no I was told on the phone that I would need that new SIM in my phone oh and that I need someone else to speak

OK simple enough then.
Get a female friend to play at being your mother, they will only be required to confirm their name, then you take over the call.
Cancel and pay off the old account and ask for the number to be switched to your new account.
Simples slight_smile

Which is do able but remains the stipulation that the account holder has to contact O2 , even if the account user is you.

You both need to be on the call at the same time.

Just ask for that a/c to be transferred to pay and go. Once you have the sim, transfer the number by filling in the online form.
