Charges for using a smiley in your text

I just queried why my bill is unusually high and have been told 02 now charge just over 29p if you put a smiley on your text. This is horrendous, it will make me consider leaving 02 when at the end of my contract, this is so unfair I am so annoyed, I will fight this and use social media to let everyone know. 02, you've just got too damn greedy, I have only been with you 12 months and a.ready you have given me 2 price increases !!!

Unfortunately when you put a smiley in in converts to an mms message and is therefore charged I would suggest something like what's app

It's an app that's free you install it and the other person installs in then you can send unlimited texts smileys videos pics etc it just uses a small amount of your data allowance

Your welcome it's great I use it all the time it saves loads of money and you can do videos and sound clips as well it's called whatsapp all one word it's on all major app stores and works cross platform ie iphone to android

Or just leave the smiley out of the text or type it in as 🙂
