@Mjs

If this is an enterprise agreement (that your company have) then if i remember rightly this cant be don3.

As your company cant cancel the contract for you, this can be done the other way round.

To be double sure contact your IT Team who will be able to advise

No, you need to call O2 and ask them to migrate your number which will cancel the old contract

Using the sim swap would keep your existing tariff

@Mjs

Just ask customer services to migrate your number to your new phone. That will end your current contract. Numbers for O2 in this guide.

@Cleoriff/ @jonsie

Being an Enterprise Admin this is what we work to and what has been explained to us in the past.

The only people that can authorise this are @Mjs 's IT Department, as they own the Enterprise Agreement and the currently issued mobile phone number, and as soon as the ops number moves it legally belongs to the company. So the op will have no claim over it in future, hence most companies will only allow a port out or in or a number migration.

I’ve done this. But I’ve not got a new number?! It’s not given me a new number. I wanted one.

@LouiseB

A sim swap just transfers your original number to a new sim.

For a new number, you need to call customer service Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
