@peter354

Normaly if it’s blocked, it’s blocked for both Sms And Calls,

Ok couple of questions,

its not a U.K. number you are sms?

Have you ever been able to sms the, before?  I mean same number.

Have they recently changed there own Moroccan mobile network. I.e. gone from one to the other.

What network are they on, Morocco has 3 main mobile networks.

Orange Morocco

Maroc telecom

Inwi

Morocco has a prefix or +212 then minus the 0 which is the Trunk prefix.

Now if all is correct, you will need to speak to O2 direct and request for them to look into the issue.

its possible that the International SMS are being refused by the receiving Network in Morocco or by the International SMS system it self. O2 may not have the rights to send to the network it self

Calling the number goes goes via one system

SMS goes via another System

Neither of them use the same route I’m afraid.

So even though calls are going through fine, SMS may not and vice versa.

Also o2 will need to have an arrangement with the network in Morocco to accept o2 U.K. sms.  Again they may have an agreement with calls but not with SMS.

o2 customer care would not know of they do, but the back end team should after investigating.

Need Help, Just ask. We are one big Family here in the o2 Forum.
Use iPhone XS Max dual sim, SE, Honor 10, IPad Pro 11, Apple Watch 4 LTE, 100+ Mpbs Barrier and a Record Player.

Phone setup must be OK as you can text UK so can only assume it's a problem at the receiving end.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Maybe they accidentally blocked your number in their message settings. Worth asking them to check.

Have you also checked for sure if they are receiving them?
Your phone needs a handshake from the receiving phone's network and if it doesn't get this it would show a send failure. As it's a foreign network it may not be sending the signal back correctly.....
