PAYG Classic cut off!! (without warning)

Anonymous
Not applicable

Has anybody recently been cut off even though used very recently? (no signal, sim unassigned, balance £0 etc.)

I managed to get it back and credit re-established after a couple of calls to C/S.

What gives??

After restarting my phone, the SIM now connects properly to the network and now accepts incoming calls. However the previous balance is lost.  It has, however let me send a text to request a PAC, so I'm pleased I can port the number away.

It is still regretable no pre-cut off warning SMS was provided and that the balance dropped to zero.

Balance should be restored after 24 hours.

I am also suffering from the problem (I made calls last Nov but disconnected Feb/March time). I have called CS nearly 10 times but is still not getting anywhere. It is really frustrating!  (When calling CS, the lines were frequently cut off and I am calling from O2 mobile☹️).

@Dave-O2, I sent you a PM - and will really appreciate if you could take a look. Thanks in advance!

Just to say that Dave helped me to resolve the issue which I could not after lengthy and frustrating calls to CS.

We are lucky to have O2 team here. Excellent service from them!

I too have lost service on Classic PAYG even though I’ve made a chargeable event as per the T&Cs. I’d be really grateful if Dave-O2 could help get my service back. Being a newbie, not sure how to PM Dave directly. Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave isnt around till April, so you will have to call o2 on 0344 809 0222 and speak to customer services, as there is no o2 support on this customer to customer community..
