Ordering iTunes vouchers: invalid email address?

OK, seems they updated the rules without any annoucement: the email address needs to be registered with O2.

How do you register an email address?

Cancel that: have two MyO2 accounts: one hotmail one works but the other gmail one does not. Really cannot figure out any rational. Seems like O2 is in a total mess.
