It sounds like you have a recycled number.
I'd suggest you call O2 and ask them for a new, free number change.
This will stop the calls you are getting.
If you do choose to leave terminate your contract and leave O2, I'd not recommend keeping your number either, as the calls will just follow you to a different network.
