I can only suggest you call customer services and ask them to get the network team to look into it for you.

I have been with o2 since the BT cellnet days. Perhaps time to change provider if o2 signal isn’t up to it!

My husband has just added the app to his work phone, which runs on EE. Works instantly at home.

O2 does not support third party applications. So according to their guru, you cannot access any cctv or connect to your home WiFi. The data they supply is for the phones use only. Absolutely disgusting I can't use what I pay for. Shocking network. Now I need another phone as I can't get out of my new contract. Ee works perfectly fine.

I've just got the SIM last week, it was work8ng fine for a couple of days then stopped day before yesterday. I called o2 they say it's an app issue, clearly not because it work on WiFi and on other mobile devices with other networks. Any one been able to bypass or find solution?

@Manda

O2 will have blocked the port your cctv is using once they detected it on the system.

They don't allow data to be used in anything other than mobile devices.

The only solution is to use a different network such as EE who don't restrict usage.

Unfortunately O2 is doing this & it's been happening for years.
Someone somewhere decided in their wisdom it's a good thing to do & when you call customer service agents they deny anything being blocked & blame it on the Cctv app not working on 4G.

Same app works fine on my wife's EE sim. Also same app works perfect using a VPN which means only one thing ... ports are being blocked by O2.

I've been very loyal to O2 for over 9 years but decided it's time to move on because of this. Thankfully my contract is ending next week.

To answer your question, I use betternet app. Free version gives 15 hours a month which is more than enough for Cctv check when needed.
