mycare is a genuine O2 mailbox, but to check if genuine email you need to contact O2.
All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
Or 202 from your O2 mobile.
Advice from an O2 Guru to get through:
When you call 202, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.

now got an email from O2 Community ..M15...can't see reply on here.
Email saying that mycare is genuine but I must check with O2. Here's the original mycare email, looks a bit dodgy with "Hi ," and joke about robots, shoddy like you get with phishing emails.
Hi ,
Your tariff change is all sorted. any other phone
.... the legal stuff that goes with it, see
This is an automated email. There are no humans monitoring this address
(and the robots aren't big on replying).

Looks genuine to me @scam5
You need to call as advised as we know that O2 are moving customers off older tariffs currently.
