Great O2 Customer Service

Seeing as people are naturally so quick to complain about the poor customer service they receive, I thought I would write a post to praise the service I received this afternoon, when I phoned 2302 to have a whinge about the appalling battery life on my 4 day old iPhone 4.

I explained the problem (I won't go into it in detail, suffice to say that my battery wasn't lasting more than 10-12 hours even when the phone was not being used) to a guy in customer services.

He agreed that it sounded like there was a fault with my handset, as other customers had reported much better battery life than the 3GS. He has ordered up a replacement handset for me (apparently, O2 keep reserves for exchanges and replacements), and has said that it will be delivered by the end of the week. No questions asked, no excuses, just good customer service.

Thank you, O2.

Now I just have to hope that the replacement handset doesn't have the same problem! grin

Bear in mind this is its first discharge and things should improve, combined with a couple of hours of youtube and internet browsing this morning. This is what you should expect to see.

On a couple of the nights during this charge I used the Airplane mode to ensure a peaceful sleep, other than that, my settings are as discussed previously.

I have crossed everything hoping that you get a "good one".

Cheers for that. I have not read the manual fully, it is so big!

Any other good tips, keep them coming!

This is my first iPhone and after having just mastered Android(the wife's Desire), this is quite different. slight_smile

If you've mastered Android then this should be like "smartphone for Dummies!"

On occasion I have found myself looking for the rest of the OS, but I am quite happy with the simplicity.

..... have I mentioned the screen! At last, a screen that actually looks like the adverts. slight_smile

UPDATE - New iPhone arrived today @11.30am.

I had the morning off, so I've plugged it in and set it up. It's now at home, and it will stay plugged in until I get home later, so that it gets a full charge.

Then I'm going to run the battery down and see what's what. Hopefully it should last more than 12 hours this time!

I can imagine you reaching for the power socket..... determined to get some charge into before turning it on! I am sure it will be fine.
