I work for a company and I have a work phone, they have gone into administration . I still have the phone and sim, it is being cut off sometime shortly.
HERE IS THE QUESTION -
When it is cut off is it possible to get the phone number as my private number.

I have had the work number for nearly 10 years so all my work contacts and friends have this number in there phones

Hi @GordonShaw

You need to call O2. All numbers are in this guide

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

@GordonShaw

You need to speak to the administrator that has taken over, as the contract belongs to them now, as does the number.

The Phone also belongs to them, so you may be asked to return it to them.

Don't be surprised if o2 can't do it, as it is a business line.
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
