I tried to enable SIM lock but my SIM instanty locked and asked for my PUK code.

I looked up my PUK code on MyO2 but after entering that and then setting up a new SIM Pin, it comes up with 'Incorret PIN only x attemts left until SIM locks permenently'.

Live chat isn't working (button not opening) and I don't have a phone at hand to call...

Any ideas?

Try here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/sims-and-numbers/unblock-your-phone or go in store with photo ID.

If you can borrow a phone, the Automated call line also works for PUK.

Call 202 from any O2 mobile (or 0344 809 0202 standard UK rate from any other phone)

and say or key in your own phone number when prompted.

when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 3 Your PUK will be read to you, so have a pen and paper handy.

Tried this, they just give me the same PUK code or a second which also didn't work.

In the meantime, I swapped to eSIM and now everything is back.

That would do it. A new sim resets the PUK so it will be a new PUK now.
