i have got a email for unlocking my iphone

it says that "contiune by putting in a non o2 sim and connect to itunes and itunes will tell you that your phone is unlocked, 

I have done that all and my phone has been connected to i tunes for 20 minutes now but still it is not unlocked.

i just checked the apple status all the servers are online

Nope. Left my phone for 6 hours and i still havent got a notfication. I think i need to do something different because i am on PAYG.

As mentioned before you might not get a notification.
Have you tried the other network sim this morning?
If still not working you might need to contact o2 again.

There is nothing different for PAYG.
Just put your new sim in the phone and it will unlock.
If it doesn’t, request again as it’s failed.

i have done everything to unlock my phone,yesterday i contacted a o2 online chat staff to unlock my phone he/she said that it is certain that your iphone is gonna abe unlocked, he/she said that just put in an non o2 sim  and connect to itunes. now i connected my phone to itunes it isnt unlocked. Do i need to pres sync??
