Cannot log in to myo2 app on android. Invalid email

Hi,

The myo2 app on android does not accept email addresses with a '+' in. This is annoying as it makes the app completly unusable for me.

App version 8.4 on Android 7.1.2

Sounds like something @MercedesS can look into?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Silly question, but does it accept the email address on the web version?
Have you tried it without the + in it?

I'm having trouble logging in this evening too, not an issue with symbols though. Might be a problem generally?

o2's systems are normally down for an update around midnight-1am which might explain the problem.
Try again now to see if you are still having the same issue.

Yes it is accepted on the web.

Without a + I cannot log in because the email is incorrect

+ is a valid part of an email. I added it as a security measure because my account was previously hacked

I have used the same with some websites when I created accounts, but not tried with someone like o2.
Will tag some people who might be able to help:
@Martin-O2 @MercedesS @Marjo
Can you please see if this is a known bug/feature with the app or a new one?
