On Tuesday 30 October, Apple held a special event in which they announced new Macbook's & Mac Mini's. They also unveiled two brand new iPad's which are their best ones yet, and which mark the biggest change to iPad since, well, iPad.
The new iPad Pro's will be available to pre-order on O2 from this Friday, 2 November, on the links below.

I just spoke to customer service who gave me the stock answer of "Its out of stock, we'll contact you when its shipping". I asked was there anyone who would know when that might be.
Off he went to speak to sales and came back and told me "we think it'll be 4 weeks because thats what its saying on the website". I asked was that 4 weeks from me placing the order or 4 weeks from now and the answer I got was "4 weeks from now"
I think they are just making it up as they go along.
The 12.9" with 1Tb is available to collect in the local Apple store, but then i'd have to pay for it all upfront or pay interest on the finance. I like that the O2 deal is effectively interest free finance but getting very very close to the point where I just cancel and go somewhere else.
Whats most infurriating is the patronising attitude - basically thanks for your deposit, now go away and we'll let you know when we are ready to deal with you. Dont contact us, we'll contact you.
You have to wonder what the problem is.
Are O2 having problems cash wise? Didnt want to invest in stock upfront?
Now they have orders are they finding themselves at the back of the queue with Apple because they wouldnt commit to stock preorder?
Either way, its a bad place to be for a company like O2.
I notice Chris_K has gone very quiet - after starting the thread by providing links to sell the devices he has cleared off when people actually want some answers.
So here's a few questions for @Chris_K .....
Do O2 actually have orders placed with Apple for the orders that have been placed?
Is there a delivery schedule from Apple for the higher capacity and 12.9" iPad Pros?
When do O2 expect to have the current backlog cleared?
Would you consider it fradulent activity to sell a product you dont actually have and dont know when (or if) you will be able to provide it?
Will O2 commit to NOT cancel a customers order without the customers approval?
So come on Chris, I think we'd all like to know whats going on.
Any bets on no reply and no answers? Its about the only thing you can rely on with O2.

I think @Chris_K's refusal to come back to this thread speaks volumes for O2 as a company sadly. I’m still sticking with it as the offer is very good, but their customer service is awful.
theyve cost themselves because there was £150 a month business from Voda I was gonna transfer over but will probably go to EE now.

Just had an unbelievable conversation with a member of the CEO office.
people who post on this forum are apparently “keyboard warriors” and can’t be believed!
the shortage is, apparently, apples fault as their products are all about hype. People want their latest devices because they are suckers for this hype (I was feeling quite insulted at this point).
finally orderes are NEVER cancelled - unless apple refuse to supply the devices O2 have ordered. I queried this asking if they were selling devices that Apple hadn’t promised. “Oh no” came the response “but sometimes Apple fail to supply the devices they’ve promised and at that point we cancel your order and tell you that you can either re-order or go elsewhere”.
i was literally shellshocked.
oh and they have no idea when or if they are getting any.
when I asked why they were still taking deposits I was told they’re not taking deposits, they’re taking upfront costs!

Bizarre..... CEO office told me that my order should not of been cancelled, that feedback will be given and upheld my complaint, compensating me for the misinformation.
Still not got got my bloody iPad though, or a delivery date...

The lady actually sounded really nice. I don’t think she even realised she was insulting the people who post here and who want and like apple products.

Interesting. For the first time, the 512 GB 12.9 space grey model has gone to “up to two weeks” on the website.
maybe there’s hope for before Christmas.......
